The difference between ordinary anti-rust and heavy-duty anti-corrosion of water-based industrial paint

Water-based industrial paint can be divided into ordinary anti-corrosion and anti-rust paint and severe anti-corrosion and anti-rust paint according to the effect of anti-corrosion and anti-rust performance. Although both paints have anti-corrosion and anti-rust effects, there are great differences in practical applications. Ordinary water-based anti-corrosion and anti-rust paints are mostly single-component, while heavy-duty anti-corrosion and anti-rust paints are mostly two-component or modified water-based paints.

The performance of one-component water-based paint is lower than that of two-component water-based industrial paint, which can only provide basic anti-corrosion and anti-rust effects, and has a short service life. It is generally used in protective coating of mechanical equipment, outdoor fences, isolation fences and other facilities. Two-component heavy-duty anti-corrosion water-based industrial paint is more used on large-scale steel structures. Due to the difficult construction of such large-scale equipment and serious environmental problems, the protection period of the coating film also needs to be extended, even up to 10 years.

Ordinary water-based anti-rust paint is relatively simple, and the combination of primer + topcoat is generally enough, and some even only need topcoat. For heavy water-based industrial paints, more complex coating products are required, such as primer + intermediate paint + topcoat. The coating process also needs 2-3 times, so that the coating film has a sufficient protective effect.
